A great new partnership between DC Comics, Time Warner and MercyCorps, Save The Children and the International Rescue Committee has commenced in order to raise funds for third world countries dealing with famine.

DC is utilizing Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern and other popular characters from their series to promote “We Can Be Heroes”, for which any money donated to the cause will be matched by DC Comics/Time Warner up to $1 million.In addition, 50% of anyone who purchases clothing and/or accessories online during the campaign will be split amongst the various charities.
The tagline “one small act can make you a hero” is a great mission statement for not only the cause, but for all people who want to make change for everyday life.
It is important to stress that Africa continues to be the worst hit territory for malnourishment. Over 30 million people are at risk, with over 750,000 children under the age of five affected.
